Hey! How are you this week?
I hope you're doing great like I am. Last weekend, I visited a city called Presidente Prudente near Manaus, and I enjoyed it more than I expected.
I told you before that living as a nomad, I struggled to feel a "wow" sensation when visiting new places. Constantly changing locations and seeing amazing things makes it harder to appreciate them fully.
One thing that no longer gives me that "wow" feeling is waterfalls. I've seen so many that now they seem okay. But there's a big difference between seeing a waterfall and getting in the water. When I planned this trip, I thought we'd only look at the falls, not swimming in them. Being under a massive stream of water is a game changer for me. It makes me so happy. It's like a natural waterpark. It's a testament to the greatness of nature.
Another unexpected highlight was the group. I booked a shared tour, and the people I met were on the same wavelength. We instantly connected and are planning new trips together because we got along well. I felt invigorated after meeting them.
This trip reminded me that even familiar experiences can bring joy when you engage with them differently. Sometimes, it's about finding a new way to appreciate what you already know. Also, the full experience isn't just about the landmark; it's also about the people you share it with, the food you eat, and the moments in between.
Is there something in your life that no longer brings you the same emotions it once did? Would your feelings change if you looked at it from a different perspective? I'm excited to hear from you.

Nomad Phil
